As much as he tries to play up the T-Type and Grand National names I'm just not seeing it. It is a Buick wagon with the two door Regal front end and a paint job. Also, what is up with the A/C compressor mounting? Is that how Buick did it? And what accessory is missing from the top driver's side of the engine? The interior looks nice, but it's pretty plain jane and I'm not really digging the color combination with the orange exterior.

One thing I've never understood, but I see it all over the place is a car that's had a decent amount of work put into it and then they put the cheapest crappiest tires they can find on it.

I'd be curious to see what the reserve is.

That is how Buick A/C Compressors were mounted on the late 70's V-6's & 350's. I never owned a late Big Block Buick with A/C. But they tend to use the same or simalure parts so it may be correct.

I agree that the color does not work for me on this car.

IMO, you would think the engine compartment would match the "bling" the rest of the car has. hate the exterior colour also.....

AC is mounted correctly for a 400-430-455 Buick. Paint is more than likely code GM code 75 red. It will look orange under certain lighting (fluorescent, HPS, Mercury Vapor, etc.). AC compressor does have the large diameter pulley used on certain Buick's with steeper gearing.

EDIT: I stand corrected...they did use orange on it. Not a good choice IMHO.

EDIT 2: Upper AC bracket is incorrect...while they did "hang them out there", that is not the correct upper AC bracket.

Horrible color, there is a flourescent orange truck that is really nice IF it was another color and has been for sale over 3 years now and the only chance it has is a COLOR BLIND buyer lol.

I'd call it an ugly colored 1983 Buick Regal Estate Wagon

Being nonstock and heavily modified I'd say the starting bid should be the finish bid but was warned not to offer the starting bid.
So why have a low starting bid if it can't be bought for that price?

I see a junk yard drive train and an Earl Schieb paint job.:yuck:

The OE Buick A/C compressor bracket looks decent even if the compressor is 5 feet from the engine. The brackets on the car for sale look like they were pieced together with spare parts by a 3rd grader. I'd drive this thing color aside, but I'd probably be annoyed very quickly at how much gas it uses.

And as you stop at every gas station along your cruise route to refuel you'd be annoyed by the comments about the crappy color.

A little under hood detail and just painting the AC bracket black would help. But 3rd graders can't legally buy spray cans of paint.

Really, the fuel economy for a Buick 455 isn't too bad. Highway mileage for my Estate Wagon is mid-teens with the AC on. And that's with a 2.93 gear, which does put it right at it's sweet spot for cruise RPM @ 70mph.

The upper bracket is not correct. It has been pieced together with a non-AC bracket and non-stock parts. Upper brackets are available, I've got a spare or two myself.
