The 2-door has a 400 in it? As the seller did state that is non original, the 2nd gen GA's only came with 301's (305 in some markets) and 231 Buick V-6's were the base engine at least 1 of the years. Heck with Jim Butler Performance in TN most sellers on CL wanted $1500 for a rebuildable 389 or 400 core engine.
They do make replacement g-body rear frame rail sections. This thing could be repaired if someone had the will and desire to do so. Aside from that and the floor pan it does look pretty solid. Wouldn't be a terrible car to bomb around in for a while.
And once it comes time that it isn't driveable anymore it looks like a lot of the body and interior could be transplanted to another car.
I used to have a model of that model of Poncho. That poor thing met an explosive end when firecrackers became legal....
Link for the 75 4-door is dead, I almost bought a rust free 74 4-door 400 4bbl 4-speed car a couple of years ago. Just didn't have the space for it. One of only 230 Manual transmission A-bodies built in 74, no breakdown on 3 or 4 speeds, or Lemans or Grand Am's was available. But I can't think they made more than around five 4-door 4-speeds. Here is an old link to the car I almost bought. http://www.dailyturismo.com/2012/08/5k-1974-pontiac-grandam-sedan-4-spd.html
Fugly sure was its middle name, but what a sleeper! Pop in a suitable 455 with hidden air induction, change the rear gears, and go chasing low e.t.'s with it!
The guy in Maryville is down the road from me and is a big Pontiac guy. Mostly Grand Ams, seems to have a collection of the '78-80 cars and a few beat up\rusty '73-75 cars he was parting\selling a while back. The frame rot is a big pain and Jeff is correct, it's usually what does them in. Cars out here really don't rot away like they do up north, but many people park them on dirt\mud for ages and leaky windows, driving in the occasional salt spray day, and neglect can really rot a car out below. We also have our share of northern cars that make their way down here. My '73 is from the area and driven all the time and it's still got original brake lines and fuel lines - I only changed out the rubber. I've liked that 4 door Grand Am, the guy wants a bit too much money for what it is and only has like 2-3 pictures that aren't great per ad when he runs it. He goes on about the roof needing to be fixed (vinyl top removal) and how easy it is, but he's been trying to sell it for a year... If it were me I'd just fix it myself if it was that easy and make the car an easier sell...
