    Very interesting........
I was thinking it would be cool if the wagon came with that 4 quad rectangular headlamp front end that the Monza 2+2 hatchbacks came with. The (former Vega) coupe got it!

    But Nooooooooooo.......
Here's the front end you got with the wagon:

that front clip will not fit a lot of the Monza wagons had V-8's and I think they went to 80

WagonKiller is correct that the 4 headlight Monza 2+2 front clip will not bolt onto a Wagon, the coupe in the ad that Krash posted is not on the Vega Coupe Body, but the Monza Coupe Body.

Monza and Sunbird Wagons were built in the 78 and 79 model years only, they and the 78 Monza S Hatch Back were the only Vega Body styles ever offered with a Larger Engine than the 2.5 Iron Dukes. But no V-8's were available, 3.2 and 3.8 Buick and Chevy V-6's were the optional engines.

Believe it or not the Monza S and Monza Wagon front clips are not the same as the 2 head light Monza coupe or HB's. But look very simalure.

The Monza S still causes debate in the small H-body community, as only a couple are know to have survived it makes it difficult to research. Rumors say due to the very late cancelation of the Vega Models just a couple of weeks before the 78 Model year (I find it hard to believe the new dies/molds for the required parts could have been made that fast, unless they were in place as a model year change already)

And the S Model was produced to "use up" Vega sheet metal that was contracted out to a outside vender. And the low production number reflects the minimum qty spelled out in the contract. But no proof of any of that has ever been found, exept that early 1978 Chevy full line brocures still list the Vega as available.

I had a friend who had on also, it was a fun little go-cart with the V8.

And my girlfriend at the time had a 4 banger Pontiac Sunchicken ......gawd that was a horrible car, the only thing that never broke on that car was the air in the tires:rofl:

    Identical to this........

I'd love to have one of these little cars. Specifically the Olds Starfire Firenza model. But I also like the plain basic 2 headlight Monza coupes and hatchbacks. Any of them would probably be a spry little commuter car with a 2.2 Ecotec and overdrive automatic or a 5-speed stick. If you needed more cylinders the 3800 V6 from a 90s F-body would probably fit the bill nicely and would be easy to install as some of the H-body cars had 3.8 liter Buick V6 engines.
