Only issue with the car is a vibration between 60-70 mph. I can't locate and find the culprit.

Been there done that, drove me nuts with my Baja VW bug..... had no ishues with the under size rims when I bout it driving at speed, found a set of used wider rim and at 55-60MPH had a vibration in the front end and stearing wheel. When I had the tires/rimes ballanced the shop warned me of this, they told me one rim is out.....took a month of sundays to find another matching wheel, but once I did, problem solved.

JDM is Japanese Domestic Market. I had to look that up! lol. I see the term all the time on Toyota forums and figured it's a general term for Japanese cars .. but I guess I used it wrong bc domestic market would be right-hand drive cars, etc. Non-export?

Forget the cut springs and lowering blocks. The easy way to make this one handle is to put in the Supra suspension. Same car under the skin. You can even plug and play with a Supra Turbo engine/transmission. Think what a sleeper this would be as a full on Supra woody wagon!

My Dad had a '79 Cressida sedan. Damn, that was a nice-driving car!

Don't care for the lowering on this wagon. As said, needs Supra suspension bits!

Driveshaft yoke is out of phase after his tranny swap?

Ya know....that is possible. I forgot when in 99 I bout new my honneys van ( had alot of problems with it new) there was a faint vibration on the highway but it was constant after 45MPH, and the dealer replaced the drive shaft and that problem was solved.

Vibrations can be a bugger though, people accross the street from us had a 199? Chev truck that they bout new and drove for over 10 years trouble free other than a front end vibration at 6oMPH from day 1. They said nobody could ever find the problem even after bring the truck to private shops.
