At that milage, $9,700 is still not much, considering what the car costed new in '78 dollars. But, if the reserve's too high, he might not move it as easy as expected.
I much rather would prefer buying cars like these from older people themselves and simply pay them what it's worth. When these go through middle men, it's difficult to get bargains

I never was a Pinto fan. But, I wouldn't mind this one, being that it's a Mercury with the Cologne V-6 in there. There're plenty of updates one could do, because of that block. Besides, basic cars are getting ever more scarce

I had a light blue ‘79 Pinto Squire with that same interior. That was such a Cheerie car to get into to.

Boy... as a guy how grew up in the 70's they had some crazy interiors. I guess you could match to go with your leisure suit.
I like the wagon though, but not for $9700.

Seems they had that same pattern in Orange.

It took a couple day, to creep up $200. If the reserve isn't set on an even ten grand, it'll be an even more suspenseful auction to follow

Now at $10,100 and reserve still not met. Less than 24 hours to go.

$10,300. I think we might see this car again. Kinda like our green Pacer. This money just doesn’t seem right.

It hasn't been right since Nixon took it off of the Gold Standard. You could probably buy three of these today, at that reserve, with 1971 dollars. It just goes to show how much dollar holders were robbed of their savings
