It is a lot of car! But I thought that it just might be irresistible to some one on here... or at the least be worth staring at and discussing.

Cool car with a nice big thirsty motor. Would be fun till I had to pull into a gas station after the 2nd tank and realize, OH BLOODY HELL, this thing is a pig.

41,000 miles. I bet he had to save up every winter and spring to be able to afford the fuel to tow his boat every summer! :biglaugh: :slap: :bouncy: :yahoo: :D

SF, why do you say it's gonna be rough. I tried to enlarge the pics, but couldn't so I can't get a real good look at it. 41000 miles for only $1250? That sounds like the bargain of the century. I wonder if this is the one fowoodie is looking at.
Darn, just noticed it's way out in Chicago.

If I could get a wagon like that to get 17 -18 city and it were a darker colour then my wife would be interested, too.

Yes but does it get 17 -18 mpg city? That is the real problem... Not too big on the colour... I have seen Zoe look at 2 wagons of the same model and year but of different colours and completely hate one and not the other... I never know when this elusive phenomena will occur.

In 77, the Squire, with the 460 had an EPA fuel mileage rating of 8 city, 12 highway. The 78 is essentially the same car.

I love the 460 but I had one in my 77 Lincoln Continental and got 9 mpg tops. Love the way they run, though.

Don'e expect a carbed big block to get much out of the single digits to very low teens. 7-13mpg at best.

Thats when it is shut off, while on the back of a car carrier, with a 20mph wind at its back, going down a 10% 100 mile long hill, when the semi hauling it is in neutral and on his brakes the entire time. Thats the only sure way you will see those kinds of MPG's. :biglaugh::rofl2::rofl:
