This is a great-looking car. Mileage is high at apparently over 180,000, but they're apparently all California miles. Current bid is $3500 with 8 hours left, but the reserve is not met. It'll be interesting to see what this sells for, if it does. Of all of the model years of this generation of Cutlass (1973-1977), I've always thought that the front-ends of the '76 and '77 models, especially those with the waterfall grille, like this one, and the quad rectangular headlights, were a significant step up better looking than the single, round-headlight look of the '73 to '75 models. I do like the color of this one. https://www.hemmings.com/auction/19...m_medium=email&utm_source=auctions_newsletter
I agree on this front end being good, and overall a much better look then the similar Malibu wagon. I like it
Current high bid is $3,500, with reserve not yet met. Auction ends in a little over 3 hours - 2:00 PM, PST. Certainly not perfect, but one you can enjoy WHILE you fix the small issues.....
My very first car was a 77 Cutlass Supreme Brougham. Same color as my 65 Vista. First motor I rebuilt also, a 1970 350 rocket. Had a LOT of fun with that one!
I think it might have been relisted. Seller's 'asking price' is $18,700........ Not even worth half that, IMO..............
Wow. At an $18k asking price, he will own that car forever. Here's the description of the interior: The seller feels that the Oldsmobile’s tan vinyl seat upholstery is “showing wear from age.” Photos appear to confirm his observation. The car retains its “original carpeting, which is worn,” and there is a “rip in the driver’s side by the door,” he says. Photos appear to show deterioration of the dash pad and cargo area trim panels. The wagon’s gauges are all described as working properly, while the factory-style AM/FM stereo turns on but only receives static. The dome light, heat, and air conditioning are said not to work. The “manual windows function properly, except the back passenger’s window rolls down but is difficult to get back up,” says the seller. The seller "feels" that the upholstery shows wear from age? What does that mean? Overall, this is the description of a $1000 car, not an $18,000 one. For that price, EVERYTHING needs to work. No worn carpeting. No rips in the upholstery. Functioning heater and dome lights. Windows roll up and down just fine. Did I say EVERYTHING?
1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass S Coupe 442 for sale on BaT Auctions - ending July 12 (Lot #113,212) | Bring a Trailer Here is a 76 Cutlass S Coupe 442
I like these sloped-nose Cutlass models. I think the whole waterfall looks great, especially in this 442 guise. Three weeks ago, when I was in our local u-pull, there was one of these in there, but a sedan, and the waterfall looks good with them too.
