I sold cars right out college while I was waiting on a job that started fiscal year November 1. What an interesting time in 1983. The trucks weren’t required to have window stickers so basically the prices were on 3x5 cards , and whatever you got above and beyond was pure gravy. Yeah end of the month was good cause the dealer usually had spiffs for certain models plus your commissions were based on monthly sales numbers. I actually did ok, but I couldn’t stand making a living on how much you could gouge somebody on the sticker or options. The worst was a young couple that came in for a Caviler wagon. They announced what their max payment could be. The F&I guy spent an hour trying to load that car up to hit that payment. I learned that night never buy a car on what your payment should be. I think things are better now especially with the internet.
Probably not. If it were an XS, and if I didn't already have one, then most like I would have already bought it. But it's not, and I do, so no.
