I don't recall if this one has been posted before or not: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/bar/4258984008.html It looks decent from what you can see in the photos. Price seems fair. No interior photos. Ad text: Ford Country Squire 1977 FOR SALE cash / possible Trade - $4000 (Bethlehem ) FOR SALE $4500 cash or possible Trade - 1977 Ford LTD II Country Squire Broham Wagon - Excellent condition inside and out. Looks pretty good on the outside. Would be nice to see pics of that Brougham interior. Could be 'loaded'....... Pet pieve time. All the guy had to do was take a couple pics of the interior and provide a bit more of a description, and he'd have a great ad. - Options? - Engine size? - for a bare minimum.
I agree Marshall, how hard would it be to take 2 or 3 more pics and add some more info to the ad? I would think that would help the car sell easier and quicker. It's almost as bad as the guy who won't wash the car and clean out all the garbage. I just don't get it.
I had a minor melt down at the local car wash last week out of 5 vacuums only one worked...cost me $2.50 to figure out which one. :banghead3:
Dewey, you of all people...... you don't own a shop vac (?), vac clean your car's interior at home but pay to do it else where???
I thought we had seen this sharp LTD II Squire before. Very nice looking Brougham interior, but no power assist options. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23690&highlight=1977+Ford+LTD+II+Squire
Yep, I've seen this one in person. For the price, I'm surprised he still has it. It is SUPER CLEAN, a very nice survivor. Yes, it has A/C, but not working. I had communicated with another member on here about it, but I guess he never got it. From what I understand, his bottom dollar is $3800, which is not much more than I sold mine for, but this one is nicer. Click on the 81 Images, over there <--------- , and go to pages 5-6 of my Gallery to see more high res pics of it.
She's a beauty. The "Chamois" interior is not to everyone's taste, but it does look good. Those are the same seats my 2nd 78 Thunderbird had, and there is likely passenger side recline on it. Very comfortable for the long haul, too. Quite likely a 351, either W or M, under the hood, but it could well be a 400. Too bad it does not have power windows and door locks, though. Manual windows are just not fun, especially with the a/c not working. If I had the cash right now, and a passport, I would be more than tempted to get it. Power windows are not that hard to add to one of these.
Definitely a 335-series motor, from n2fordmuscle's photos. Power windows are very nice...until they stop working. I used to think they were the coolest thing going in a car -- made you feel like it was a limousine. After a couple of cars with nonfunctional (or extremely lazy) power windows, I don't seem to mind cranking them anymore.
Power window motors for these are readily available, brand new, for $100 with a lifetime warranty. Just order the motors for an 89 Grand Marquis, but reverse the sides, and then reverse the polarity when you install them. Since I am single, and most of the time alone in the car, reaching across to roll the passenger window up and down can be dangerous, never mind the back door windows. Been there, done that, with my 2 79 Thunderbirds. No thanks, no again.
