    hot mama !!!

woodie can be "woken up", interior looks intriguing. not your standard bench OR captain's chairs. or, maybe the captain's chairs look different in naugahyde, a opposed to cloth upholstery. would love to have this one, even with the 5 mpg 460 !!!:29:

    In 'Joisie...........

I like this one. Beautiful interior. The Di-Noc will come back a bit with the Pledge treatment, but you'll have to keep after it. The details will take some time. Need to examine the underbody and mechanicals thoroughly on this one.

Think that's leather rather than naugahyde. Stunning whatever it is. :yup:

Yes, but don't forget the thread 90Merc started, re - leather treatment/conditioner. That does work better, and pledge just for the in between. I'm also sold on the water based wood stain I applied to my starting to flake wood..... the stuff was a savior big time, sealed it all rite up, even passed the garden hose test. Still not going to try a pressure wash it though on it or my paint:rofl2:

    oh those options

If it is leather, that makes it all the better. Although, while we're on the subject of treatments, that would mean using clear shoe polish on the seats. The man I bought my 77 Dodge Aspenwagon from, had a bright idea; use the color match car polish, he was using on the outside of the car, on the seats inside it... :49: Had to buy seat covers just to keep all our clothes from getting maroon stains on them , all the time, all the time...

Oh man! This thing would be my dream wagon for sure! Two-toned leather Luxury Décor interior, mini-vents and the 460! Looks like tow package equipped too! Needs roof rack, and says hail damage, but so what! Wish I had some money! This would be a wonderful tow vehicle for my '76 Airstream Tradewind. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima Love white exterior with the brown interior.

I still can never figure out how you guys figure every 440 Mopar, 460 Ford, 500 Cadillac, 455 Pontiac or Buick, or 454 Chevy gets single-digit gas mileage! I've owned over 750 vehicles since 1972, with a huge percentage of those being big-block cars and trucks. I had a grand total of ONE that got less than ten mpg...ONE. And it got nine - it was a 454 Chevy C-30 dually with an overhead camper.

Patrick, I think Taranau was picturing my Airstream behind it, just like I was!

The first thing to do to get gas mileage out of this beauty is to put in the overdrive automatic. Dropping the revs by 40% is a sure fire way to up the mileage big time, since the AOD bypasses the torque converter, and the C-6 that is in there doesn't even lock it at all! With the dual exhaust and enough timing (factory spec is not enough) and setting the carb properly (most people run them quite rich) the mileage is impressive for the size of the car. Certainly well into the 20s is easy, and even into the 30s, using the correct collection of OEM, later OEM, and after market pieces.

I would love this wagon too. Simply beautiful.

Love that interior! $4900 seems very reasonable, as long as it's solid.
