I think Tedy first posted this one a while back. Still available. These are extremely rare wagons as very few were ever built, as the seller notes. I really the like the front end design - it just looks so massive and imposing. :bouncy:

I don't believe I've ever seen one of these in the flesh, so to speak. Even the sedans and coupes weren't common.

I noticed the '72 Monaco in the first pic. Probably my favorite Dodge wagon of the '70's.

    You're right.

When I was in elementary school in the mid 1970s, a classmate's mom had one of these as a 4-door sedan in the same burgundy color as this photo. I remember it vividly. I don't know that I have seen a 1970s Royal Monaco "in the flesh" since then. They have always been few and far between.

Yup, been for sale for some time now. Our location sucks for selling. Shure would not mind this one in my drive way.

A buddy in my teens had one exactly like this, rite down to the poverty caps.

The 4-door sedan versions were popular police cars until 77

I certainly don't remember seeing a lot of those Mopar wagons back then nor can I remember any one of my friends owning one. Kind of odd, really, as I think they were very good looking long roofs.

My b-i-l owned a '77 Royal Monaco Brougham coupe, triple black with the 360 4-bbl, cloth seats with leather trim, AM/FM/CB, power everything, plus a factory sunroof, to boot! He bought it new, then gave it to his stepdad in 1987. After he died, my b-i-l sold it in 2004. It's still in the Denver area. Pretty scarce car to start with!

I like this wagon...were it black, maroon, or dark metallic green, I'd actually be calling on it!

Any reason to think the '72 in the pic is a wagon? Did you see something I missed? By the way, it's my favorite Dodge wagon, too. Anything with woodgrain and hideaway headlights gets my attention.

Anyway, the '76 does look like a very nice wagon overall, especially for the price. That is, as long as the "surface rust" isn't worse than the seller says.

Interesting how the front of the Royal Monaco is similar to the front of the '73 Mercury Marquis, a car the Marquis was a direct competitor to.

It's not priced insanely at all. A slick Chrysler "C"-body like this with lots of options and low build numbers are very desirable.

Priced aggressively, and even high, but not insane. Try restoring one of these, where the parts are nearly impossible to come by, when it comes to body and soft trim, especially!

I agree. :) Priced high, but as I said before, go try to find another one like it, especially as nice as this one looks.
