I like this statement: Interior is OK needs a new dash cap and the two front seats recovered and new headliner and carpet. If it needs a new carpet, headliner, seats recovered, and dashpad, the interior is most certainly not OK. He doesn't show it too well in any of the photos, but you can see in this one how cracked up is the top of the dash in front of the steering wheel. I also like the last line: Ready for the lake !!! In what way? To be thrown in? Also, I question his calling it an LTD "Brougham." According to the '74 Ford Sales literature, the '74 Ford Full-Size Fact Book, and the Old Cars Price Guide, the word "brougham" was not used on any '74 Ford wagon. The base wagon was the "Custom 500 Ranch Wagon" followed by the "Galaxie 500 Country Sedan" with the LTD wagons on top. Of the LTD's, there was simply the LTD wagon, which had no woodgrain siding, and the LTD Country Squire, which did. The car in this ad is simply an LTD wagon. In its current condition, this car is, at most, worth about $1500.
It looks like it has the "Brougham" interior option (notice the Brougham script on the door panel), which may be why he is calling it Brougham. I think I have seen one before like this without wood-grain, but I think it was rare. What is odd though it appears to be 1973 door panels, so maybe some swapped them in there? Below this pic is what the '74 looked like and it was called "Squire Luxury Group". 1974 is below...
