Looks good, and so far the price seems right for the condition. Looks like no reserve, too.

I think that this one will sell for a pretty good price. Wish I had a little extra money.

I'd pay twice for that car of what the bid is at now.

Don't need to provide all kinds of information as to how you are paying? CC numbers....bank accounts??

You'll have to provide them with basic information like name and address as well as how you will pay any fees if you list something for sale. Most people give a credit card. You won't incur any charges, though, if you never sell anything. You don't have to give them any bank account information.

As far as paying for things you win by auction, you can pay by check and so forth, depending on the seller. Most take paypal, and some require payment by paypal, but almost all will take some other form of payment like check or money order. I do not believe there is any requirement that you open something like a paypal account at the same time you open your ebay account.

The point is, with several hours left in the auction at the time you made your original post, you had plenty of time to get an account set up and a bid put in. If there is anything ebay wants, it's bidders, so they do not make the registration process difficult or time-consuming.

In fact, while it's on your mind, why don't you take a few minutes and get an ebay account set up, so the NEXT time a good-looking car comes along, you won't be kicking yourself for not being able to bid. I've had an ebay account since June 1998, or more than 14 years now, and have bought and sold many things. Of course there's the occasional jerky buyer or seller, but that's true in any medium, whether it's ebay, craigslist, or doing it the old-fashioned way and taking out a for-sale ad in the local newspaper. But the vast majority of my several thousand transactions on ebay have gone off without incident.

I was under the impression I would have to provide certain information and they would have to do some back ground check.....again.....CC number....bank accounts.....never really ever been on E Bay before.

Well, that's the problem with impressions. They're often wrong. The easiest way to find out is to start the sign-up process yourself. If you find that they're asking for information you're uncomfortable giving, you can always abort it. But I'm guessing you won't.
