Yes I am Dan the ranchero man on both torino.org and ranchero usa sites. I will be posting on the ranchero usa site my progress and the Torino site too.
Hey Guys, sorry I've been away for a while, but I do check in from time to time and read about yall's projects. I took the wagon to a local show a couple weeks ago. I didn't win anything, but it was fun hanging out and talking shop with the other car guys!
The wagon looks great! The pinto parked next to you brings back memories. First car was a 70 runabout also had a 73 wagon we put a Mustang II V8 set up in it.
Dan, that little Pinto had a 302 V-8 in it with Edelbrock add-on's. It was a nice lil car. As a matter of fact the license plate said "PRONTO" on it. LOL! (which is Spanish for FAST )
Hey Guys just checking in. I hadn't posted much, but I do browse every now and again. The wagon is still running strong, unfortunately the weather has been super HOT so I haven't taken her out in a couple weeks. Hope everyone is doing well!
I keep telling myself I will put A/C into one of the rancheros. Then the weather cools down a little and I for get about it. If it is really hot I drive Tim's rodie wagon. Nice hearing from ya again. Take care Dan the ranchero man.
I need to get off my butt and put a system together in mine. I had a bunch of the bracketry and a compressor ready to go, and I just needed a Crown Vic condenser; I found someone had broken into my apartment storage locker a few years ago, and had cleaned out most of the aluminum.
My wagon has A/C, but it's hard to compete when the temps outside are 108 like they were last week...OUCH! Luckily the rest of the week is only 100-104...SMH... Good to hear you guys are doing well.
You sound like my daughter (lives in new mexico)...... But Daddy it's a dry heat it don't feel that bad. Yea right! anything over 100 F calls for something to do inside!
I drove the wagon to work today and parked it next to my Dad's white 1994 Mitsubishi Mighty Max PU he bought new in October 1994 for his Birthday and his 2001 Toyota Tacoma PU he drove sparingly because he wanted to keep the miles low on it. I own all three now.
Ha, I went to the Seattle Hot Wheels Tour/car show, and found this little jewel in the corner: It's his Gambler 500 racer as well as the family wagon!
