A lot of "rebuilt" parts for 70,000 some odd miles. Also right rear 1/4 paint does NOT match the tailgate but drivers 1/4 does?

True, but in reality not unusual for a nearly 45 year old GM product of the early 70's. My '72 Estate Wagon has had some of those items repaired/replaced and the '72 Centurion has too. Luck of the draw back then...

Can tell from experience - you don't drive the car - you will replace items quicker, When we traded in my wife's 82 Olds Ciera Wagon after 11 years with 51,000 miles on it - oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid and coolant leaked from every pore all gaskets and seals were dry out. Bushing's were shot. Charcoal grey paint faded. Interior looked new, wood grain perfect and I have done a ton of repairs to my 56,000 mile 85 Colony Park. Don't drive it and you will fix it.
If some buys this beast - and are going to drive it - the tires have to be replaced - 9 years old they re shot as well

Wow, that looks just like the one I had and sold two years ago, except mine was a three seater and had far fewer options.

Not always. My 79 Ford for example. It has 127,000 miles on it 99% of which were put on it in the 80's. The car sat when it came back from Cali in the garage most of the time. I DID have to chuck the VV carb in the garbage, and change the fuel pump.( It had 3+ gallons of gas in the oil pan). I did 2 oil changes to clean it out. Save for the valve cover gaskets seeping a small amount, I never did anything but replace a hose and a belt the rad and alternator and water pump(all of which were mileage replacements not sitting). and was not afraid to get in it and drive it ANYWHERE! Could depend on WHERE they sit? I wonder if that's the case?

I am confused by the "mummified" Brake, E-Brake and Gas Pedals?

I didn't see that first time I looked and I usually look for pedal wear. Hmmm. Either they are worn and don't want em seen or they are covered to keep from wearing

Not surprising, given the $12,000 minimum bid. But I do give the guy credit for not having a reserve and being upfront with what he wants for the car. I don't think he'll get it, but good luck to him.

I saw that, too, and wondered. I could see covering the gas and brake pedals to protect from wear as you push on those all the time. But the parking brake pedal? That hardly gets stepped on at all, relatively speaking.

Geez - how much wear are you going to put on a 44
year old car by pressing on the accellorator or brake pedal?!

Exactly, compared to how much wear is already there. The guy has to know that covering the pedals like that is going to raise questions in the minds of potential buyers. He should address this in the ad, but he doesn't. Those may be there simply to protect the pedals from any potential customers who test-drive the car.

I did see this in the ad, which made me chuckle:

He needs to add "I hope" to the end of this sentence.

Enough to tell if it's original miles or over 100,000
