350 V8. Great exterior color - Olds called it Saddle Bronze. http://www.vaultcars.com/1972-oldsmobile-vistacruiser
Yep those 1980's wire wheel caps sure were a rare option!! ... Some one should thread the nut on the alternator bolt before its driven too far also. But it sure is a sharp car.
A nice car that could of been an excellent candidate for a show winning factory original resto but that car was bought by a dealer to be painted and flipped, not too hard to tell. Nice partial paint job and really nice bright work, woodgrain end matches are messed up as usual. The biggest mistake people make when doing a paint job is not having the jambs/inner cowl and inside of the doors done too. Why do a nice paint job like that and leave it incomplete? It makes for a 100% better job and is actually a lot easier to just do them in the long run. Removing the hood , doors and tailgate isn't that big a deal, even with power locks and windows it's all plug and play. That guy didn't even bother to mask the jambs off, I don't get it?, and old nasty door seals??? My painter dude won't do a paint job without doing the jambs too. I'd guess about 14K for that car from a dealer.
Very pretty car. Needs door weather strips, jambs painted/detailed and someone should tell the seller the sport wheel he has is a Buick wheel, not an Olds. Olds sport wheels were 4 spoke.
