429 V8 and all power options. Unfortunately, the aftermarket pop-up sunroof is a big minus to me, personally, as to desirability. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/ford/ltd/1839118.html
In used car salesman's terms, "She's had her brains bashed out". With almost 239,000 miles the seller never says the engine has been rebuilt or mentions any other major work, and for some reason has a service manual set and a spare timing chain etc. to go with it, that concerns me. Better to look good than feel good..
Has the right equipment (full power, 429), but the details are lacking. Seller is making a big mistake by not sweatin' the details - he should have: - Removed the bug deflector - Removed the 'abacus' driver's seat pad (rips underneath?) - Removed the A/M cup holders - Shown the DFRS in the 'up' position - Significantly cleaned up the engine compartment Even with those things done, this isn't more than a $11k wagon.
Big price drop. It does look very nice. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/cto/d/saint-paul-1972-ford-country-squire-8/6819252462.html
Yeah that car has a lot of hoo-ha going on. Big aftermarket am/fm radio, which I’m sure has a remote control. Plus Crapola hanging under the passenger dash and attached to the area by the break release. Looks like there’s a loose C.B. Mic in one of the ample storage bins. That’s probably not connected to that thing hanging under the passenger dash. Also the carpet seems to be pulling away from the headlight dimmer switch. It’s one of the prettiest color combos of ‘72, but it would cost a fortune to un-bastardize it. Looking at that front seat compartment I could only imagine what a NYC cab would have looked like in ‘72. It makes the 4 velour strips glued to the dash a downright easy fix. Plus it is only a guess, but with what you can see in the back compartment from the dash shot I would wager it’s got a lovely convex mirror attached to the windshield. It’s like a Thanksgiving Dinner with all the fixens.
