Won’t say well bought, but certainly think well sold. I would have kinda been surprised to get that.

Any of these Gran Torino Squires are pretty hard to find now.

The 1972 is considered especially desirable due to the lack of ugly front bumper.

Keep in mind (and hard to believe, I know) but this is a 50-year -old car now.

    These ain't on every Craigslist.

You know you loose a little Perspective when you remember seeing these in droves, and seeing them new on the car lots. Yeah 50 years old. I still have an ‘88 Town car I bought new, and that’s gonna be 35 years in October. Man Father Time moves on!

Have had our 87 Safari since 90. Love it when we tell that to someone and they say "That's before I was born".

I was at a car show once with my ‘57 Mercury, and got into a discussion with someone where I had told them it was a one owner Albuquerque car…. The person asked, “Oh did you buy it new?” Huh? I said yeah I look pretty good for 84 don’t I.

Yes, 72 is a big year for the fans of grand Torino’s. Not only was the grand Torino in Clint Eastwood‘s movie a 1972, but it was a one year only nose on that car. In fact, there were two noses on a 72 models. This one being the desirable one, and then they had a cheaper model with a different front end.

Yeah almost forgot about the thinner spread across grill. That was Torino only. And Grand Torino had the snoot.

There were actually THREE mid-sized Ford wagons in '72 - the Gran Torino Squire; The 'regular' Gran Torino wagon (same nose as the squire, no 'wood'); AND the (no 'Gran') Torino wagon, with THIS nose. VERY hard to find on the internets.......
