Hey Wix So I just had the pleasure of reading thru the entire 73 Pages. This is one Heck of a nice build and I like others are really excited to see the end resultz. Thanks for taking the time to post this
Missing David, So glad to see you back in contact. I have been busy and when I have time to get on the site the first thing I do is see if you have communicated with us. It still amazes me how a project like yours can produce a group of kinfolks that truly care about you and your project. God bless you and glad to have you in contact again. Firehaus
This is an awesome project! It's very cool that you thought it all out then actually did it! I thought of making a 2 door out of my country squire. This certainly gives me a lot of ideas. Keep up the good work.
Wix, I was gone for a while as well but am now finding the time to get back to the forum. Upon my recent return, I was hoping to hear from you and get updates on your Buick as I think that is going to be some extraordinary wagon when you're done. Good to hear from you and that all is well.
Hey Jeffrey, firehaus, gordo and Snoot, so good to hear from y'all! I'm still here, and I still work on my wagon when I have the time. Right now it is covered in ice! I will post some more pics, and resume this thread when I get back to working on it more in the near future. David
Photo David, Hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas. Please just tease us with one photo. Happy New Year and God Bless. Firehaus
Recently joined and someone directed me to your build thread. I am well into my re-design of a 66 Malibu wagon into a 2door. I got lucky and was able to use the doors, B-pillar and quarter sections from a 66/67 ElCamino. Currently finishing up my side window design that will allow me to use re-sized original 66 stainless trim. Most of my builds I like to focus on how I think the car would look if they had ever made one. One of my current rides is a 56 Chevy that was a 2dr 210 wagon and is now an ElCamino. Best compliments are the ones that say "it looks factory". Yours is looking factory and I like what you have done so far. It would be nice if you have more pictures showing your current progress.
He got us all hooked then left us hanging . This is the coolest build thread I have seen on here, I love "one off" vehicles that the factory never made but should have. I have done a few myself but none this extensive YET.
Been watching this thread hoping for more pictures of the Buick. Like David I know other priorities can get in the way as progress on my 66 Malibu 2dr Nomad conversion build has also slowed down. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29015&highlight=rmay I find a lot of value in similar builds which helps with the creativity and motivation. A few extra bucks also helps.
