Looks greatAs I said before you are a true craftsman, wish I had half the talent it takes to do the job you did on your wagon
That is crazy cool lookin' just looks stock as it should. i did a never built 1979 Chrysler 300 in blue. It was cool to see the president of the 300 club actually scratch his head. I'm sure you will get the same at shows. You will also hear ...my uncle had one of those!
David, So where did you get a top for that? I'll need one for my 71 Fleetwood wagon. I remember you saying I had the most beautiful Estate out there... I feel you may have me trumped! Adam
'71 Fleetwood wagon?!!! Did I know you had this? I don't think so! Can we see pics of it? Let me know what color top you have in mind for it. I got my top material at an old trim shop in the area. They have some really old off-beat stuff. My top is Levant-grain, but Cadillacs used a lot of Elk-grain. I can search some out for you if I know what you have in mind. The vinyl is not very expensive, and the seams for the top are very inexpensive, and are done right, with proper heat searing for a weather-tight seal. As far as top installation goes, it is a piece of cake, with a few pointers. Let me know, Adam. David
seeing that I was forced to rebuild my starter in my driveway yesterday....but... it left me with a true feeling of accomplishment till now....you suck...... ...but in a good way....
David, She's been quietly sitting in my signature the whole time!!! You may be shocked... she's rough, but complete (if you don't count the missing floors!!)! Obviously, a top is a long way away, but hope spring eternal.
aornest- i wish i had that caddy wagon.....I absolutely love it !! and by the way wix....iv been watching this thread your car is coming along excellant it looks great....i give you big props
The etate coupe is absolutley beautiful!! I lift my hat, and bow a little for the craftsmanship thats been taking place here.. You are a true artist!!
Come now, hurry up and do a frame off restoration and bring it up to the May Rhinebeck Car show! That Caddy is great. The vinyl on the door sills means it was probably made by the ASC Custom Craft corporation. That was a feature of their "Eldeora" series. The wagons were called the "Astro Estate Wagons".
