Don't you DARE start taking color scheme votes on that car!:disagree: Or on any other issue on the car. That's YOUR rig and you're the man! Always remember......a camel is a horse designed by committee!:D What I think is irrelevant.

Thanks gdp, I used the factory-style splatter paint in a Black/Aqua/Grey color. It seems quite durable, and us very easy to apply with a cheap spray gun. Under that is POR-15 and epoxy primer, so it is good to go!

Most of the splatter paints for trunk areas need a clear coat over them, but the kind I used doesn't. I will try to find the name of the maker...I bought this stuff at least 6 months ago.

Wait till the Afghan Government re-engineers Camels. They just play democratic pacifiers for our media, imagine what they'll do in the reconstruction phase.:rofl2:

Kinda like when Henry Ford passed on and got to the Pearly Gates...

Fannie gonna kill me, but hey, its a good chuckle.:hide::hide:

Peter challenges old Hank, "So what did you do on Earth?"

Henry: "I invented mass production of wagons and automotive vehicles."

Peter: "Walk a 1/2 mile down that corridor, or you can take that floating sidewalk down there, and turn left. The first gate on the left is the Inventors' Mansion."

Off, he goes. He walked. First guy, he meets is Edison. "Tom, did I ever thank you for the lightbulb, our new cars now have sealed beam headlights. What an invention!"

Next one is Marconi. "You know what, we're putting radios in most of our customers' cars now. They're even work on FM Stereo radios! Just an awesome invention.

Then he sees this really old, scar-faced fellow, a bit crouched over, and he asks him, "Who are you?" "Adam! The first man! I invented Woman!"

Henry grins, then he gets his brow all twisted, and says, "Bad design, Adam. The Front bumpers are too high, the rear bumpers are too low, and the intake is too close to the exhaust!"

    Fannie, gotta run...:biglaugh::hide:

I registered specifically because I read at one point in this thread you were considering a moonroof but hadn't found one large enough. About 20 years ago my brother totalled a 78 Eldo(we bought in 81 and still have) and the parts car had a factory moonroof. Before the remains went to the boneyard I chopped the entire rood section out of the car because I thought someday I might find a use for that top.

It's spent the last few years outside but the glass is still intact. I'm sure all the internals would need completely gone through but as far as I know it's all still there. If you're interested I'll make a trip to my folk's and get some pics and, if you want it, you can have it for whatever the freight cost is. And while I haven't looked at it in years I'm pretty certain it has the same type of double panel construction as your top. I think it still has the sliding door, too...

Anyway, it's definitely the right size for your car(78 was the last full size Eldo/Toronado) so lemme know.

Wow, FMC, I am blown away by your generous offer! I definitely would be interested in the moonroof.

If you could send me pics, and we can figure out how to get this thing to Texas.

PM me and let's take it from there! I'M SO STOKED!

    Thank you, PMC!:You_Rock_Emoticon:

Is this a site for wagoneers or what? FMC, wagon or not, its in your blood, pal. Thanks for signing in and helping this fine project turn into the gem, we've all been cheering on. David's gone beyond the holy grail of customizing with class, and this offer just takes it to the top.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima:bowdown:
