Mine's got a 1/4" of hard icepack on it. We had a foggy nite two nights ago in -20F temps.

Glad you said that, the wife was telling her mother in Monterrey, MX that we barely have room to put any new snow. She wants me to take pictures, too. More tonight - 1" more.;)

Aw, rub it in, Jeff! :p
It has been a lousy Feb, weather-wise, so far, and I am off with ill-timed vacation days. Not making much progress, but it is all good.(y)

    David :)

I sure have been thinking about Ian.
My heart is heavy with knowing a friend is in pain.

I just looked at the picture of Ian's dad holding his baby girl, and Ian looks so happy. I pray she is just fine.

Ian, my prayers are with you and your wife, and sweet baby.

    David

Me too. He's been a real trooper about his dad's passing, thanks to the arrival of their newborn daughter. Our BIG DADDY is on the job, and HE's got us tweaking HIM to help our friend and his family through this one, too.

    Hey guys,

Back about fifteen posts, I showed the tailgate being prepped from modification.

This is the finished tailgate, and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. It has the Electra decklid styling, and that is what I wanted. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

that tasty idea of you turned out to be very nice (understatement)... Exactly how Buick should have made their tail gate in 72!!

Will the BUICK letters return? If so, on the same 'height' as original?

    Hey Rob, thanks buddy!

Funny you ask that, because I was going to ask just that question.

Here is the original piece of steel with the letters.
Should I put them back on, or leave them off?

I would use this as a template for drilling the holes.

Also, here is the Electra lock bezel. You like?

Maybe a Limited script...or too much?

Let me know what you think!

    David :)

I was already hunting some photos on the net during your last post... (it is 5 AM here.. couldn't sleep any longer) to compare: what I thought was that the letters were a bit too tiny and too low on the original, but now looking at your photos you're OK for the size IMHO.
Confused here: I always thought the bezel for a 72 had the black outer edge? I can be wrong though. I prefer the one you have. Does it sit flush there once installed?

The Limited emblem is a really cool addition.
