No Reserve: 1972 Cadillac DeVille Wagon for sale on BaT Auctions - ending April 29 (Lot #189,432) | Bring a Trailer
'New generation' '72 DeVille 4-door hardtop, but converted to a wagon using (in my opinion, the preferrable) previous GM generation full-sized wagon structure they used from '65 - '70. Much easier to construct. Text says it was converted into a wagon when new. I like it. Does need some body restoration (one rusty rocker + other issues), and a few things aren't working....... Still 7 days to go in the auction.
The ad says the interior is trimmed in green except it's not - that's the color that this era of tan faded to over time. And you can see all of the different materials they used because they all age differently! Reds, greens, blacks, and darker blues don't have this problem as much as the parchment and tans did. I always wondered what it was about getting a Cadillac that made folks spend the money on cars like this. I'd much rather have a factory top-end Buick or Pontiac wagon with cushy seats rather than making a Cadillac into one.
