    Wow! I remember pushing one of those around as a teenager. Same color too. If my boyfriend at the time couldn't find a hill to park on, I would have to push it until he could jump it in gear to get it started.
    No surprise, that relationship didn't last.

    What I learned to drive a stick shift on, in 1970 - thanks to co-worker Mike Sugarman and his brand-new beige 1970 Squareback.
    Mike went on to be somewhat famous, doing human-interest reports on CBS radio (and a bit of TV) in the San Francisco area. He's now mostly semi-retired in New York after a heart surgery incident a few months ago paralyzed his legs.
