http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/cto/4606038623.html I believe this is Ron Tuttles car.. Long time and well known Torino / Montego guy.. 1971 Torino Station Wagon. Unrestored/Original Car! 40XXX original miles. This car is rust free! When is the last time you even saw one, let alone in this condition! Don't get me wrong, there are a few imperfections. There are some dings and small dents on the car. And there are some paint touchup's, but after all, it is 43 years old! The paint was pretty dull, so I took it to a professional car detailer, and WOW! What a difference! The car runs great! It has the 250 straight six with a C4 automatic. 9" rearend with 3:00 gears. The interior is in very good condition. No rips or tears in the seats, small hole in the headliner. The dash pad has one small bad spot on it. The rear cargo area is very nice, usually wagons got pretty beat up back there. It doesn't have 3rd row seats. Everything works too! Radio, lights, turn signals, horn, etc. Car has vinyl flooring not carpet. I have never found any rust on this car. Typical to station wagons were usually the bottoms of the tailgates and the spare tire compartment were rotted out, not on this car! The rear power window only works from the dash switch, and it needs someone to help it up and down while someone runs the switch. The rear tailgate handle key switch doesn't work at all. 15x7 Magnum 500's with good tires. Car comes with original 14" wheels and hubcaps with brand new tires. I will sell the car without the Magnum 500's. All options verified on the Marti Report, and everything matches to the car. I'm sure I'm forgetting things, so call or text for more info. $5900.00 for the car with the Magnum 500's. $5300.00 with out them. PRICES ARE FIRM!
Good looking wagon. As low optioned as it is, I'm surprised that the rear window isn't manual crank. At least it has power steering. I've got a friend who has a similar '72 Torino base wagon without power steering, plus his is a 3spd on the tree.
Looks to be a very, very basic one as indicated by the vinyl flooring. It did come with whitewalls, according to his report, but most likely the little hubcaps. This is a rare instance where I'd keep the non factory stock original wheels on there. They give it a very nice look.
What a great car! This needs to go to a museum and be preserved. So rare to see any original, unrestored car in this condition.
I like it Perfect wheels-tires too. Can get 250 exhaust headers that split out for dual exhaust. A must in my case.
