http://buffalo.craigslist.org/cto/3918621206.html Located in Derby, NY. Luckily, it's priced high enough to not go from Derby to a derby. Looks to be in fantastic shape.
Nope. 71's didn't have an outside handle. you have to lower the window and reach inside to open the gate. That is my favorite grille ever. If that wagon was in the Southwest I'd be checking it out.
No handle, that is stupid!? Then it's missing the door lock. They must have gotton a lot of bad feed back for that lack of feature. 72 bellow, has a door handle.
Also too far for me, but seriously interested. Any Buffalo member willing to help ? I am open to throw in a few $$ for gaz and time...
'71 full-sized Plymouth wagons were called 'Suburban', 'Custom Suburban' and 'Sport Suburban'.'Sport Suburban' would have been the full-boat one with the Di-Noc and the hidden headlamps. This one appears to me to be the base Suburban model. My guess is that the hidden lamp front end was plucked from another vehicle.
Wish there were interior pictures. As KK mentioned, the Sport Suburban was the top line with the hide away headlamps an wood grain. This is either one of those, minus all the wood grain and trim, or else a base model Suburban with the hide away lights added. Be interesting to see which.
Second try, Anyone can check this one out for me ? Reasonable expense $ will be covered (Paypal, Western Union, etc.)
