http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/3919714606.html 1970 Mercury Montego MX station wagon 351 Cleveland, C-4, ran when parked All original power steering and brakes 1 of 1500 made $1500 Gary 775-721-2126
I actually like the front end but then it is very similar to one of my favorite designs (honestly) - the 1970 Thunderbird ( I don't expect to have much company on this opinion).
While you guys decide what it looks like, I'll take the old girl, any time! Love these cars, and man, are they ever RARE!
Even though I'm a total Mercury fan, the center of the Cyclone grill never did it for me. I really like the clean look myself And then in 71 the open lamp grill...
I like the look, I like the ones with the hide-aways as well. I am not a fan of the center of the "Cyclone" grill, that hole in the center is odd... what is that, a bulls-eye for target practice?
oh those innovations You're all so hooked up on the grille work of this car, you're not asking the important question; since the pictures of the tailgate don't really let you see inside the car, why is that window down? does it roll up? how long has it been down? after a recent post about a Chrysler with the rear end rotted out because of a tailgate window that wouldn't roll up, I'm thinking that's an important aspect to ponder... otherwise, this is a cool looking wagon.!. One to get, no matter what the condition of the grille. The one it's got is only minorly dinged up, compared to some I've seen. So I'd leave it. As long as it keeps birds, large bugs and small animals away from the radiator, it's good by me...
