A truly stunning looking wagon. To be auctioned June 20-22. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/chrysler/town_&_country/881820.html
Screech!! Pant! Drool! Looks like a fairly low option model.....383, manual window winders, beautiful car though!
options? options? we don't need no stinking options! Hopefully we've won the Lotto or inherited from that proverbial long lost uncle, by the time this auction rolls around. Oh darn, I'll have to roll the windows up and down using my muscles. A 383 can be "six-packed"(almost said Tri-powered)if you want hellacious tire melting horsepower. Looks like a pretty cool floaterboat wagon.
Looks beautiful on the outside, nice on the inside - but the 2 don't go together. I'm guessing this wagon may have had a color change.
not familiar with the history and look of woodie at Chrysler. Yes, the interior looks technicolor blue, so it may have been a blue wagon, at first. And, the woodie , while looking quite nice, also looks redone and not the car's original woodie. if that's what Chrysler woodie looked like then, that's pretty cool. if not, the car still looks pretty cool.
68 wagon The Di-noc Wood grain is indeed original ! Looks very nice. BUT, what this gorgeous car needs is the Mile long Luggage rack that could be had on this car when new! VERY NICE MOPAR !!!!!!!
oh baby baby well... good on the woodie.. I know from having seen Aspens and Volares with woodie, that Chrysler woodie seems to last longer than others. maybe who ever originally bought it, kept their luggage in the back-back. It looks good without the rack, but would look much better with it.
You could get a black exterior with a blue interior - I've owned two like that - a '67 Belvedere I wagon and a '65 Chrysler Newport wagon.
Yeah, I know. But to me it doesn't look right. If it didn't have the wood it would be OK. Needs a beige/tan interior.
The trim around the woodgrain looks like no T&C I have ever seen. Looks like it's been powder-coated, perhaps, but that just is not right. It should be bright anodized aluminum, not colored like that. Plus, the woodgrain on a Chrysler is darker. Granted, I dig the car, but it's not right.
The woodgrain and surround trim are the part of that looks correct to me. '68 T&C trim was unique. Here's a page of the brochure...
I have one much like this for sale I have one (originally White, now black). It was sold new to an ambulance company and needs some love now, but a very highly optioned 6 passenger. 440 dual exhaust, PW, PS, AC, Power seat, Cruise Control, no luggage rack blue interior. It was my daily driver until I bought my Challenger a year and a half ago. Its been sitting now and will need work to run. I would like to get around 6K for her, you can see pictures in my profile I think. John 619-659-0125 or 619-788-2208, San Diego area.
Hey John, I was just looking at your car a couple of days ago. I have been looking to buy a '68 Town and Country down in Florida. Do you have any photos of your car now? Exterior, interior, engine? Thanks
Just had a Facebook wagon group 'conversation' yesterday with the owner that originally put this wagon up for sale back in 2013. He wants to find it again. - So keep your eyes peeled.
