No cooperation from the weather this weekend, so I'm going to have to delay primer until next weekend...
Still no primer, but hoping for Saturday. Turns out I am going to have to rent a spray booth for the day as my free option for spraying the 2K fell through. In other news, I finally drilled the holes for the emblems on the rear quarter. Here they are mocked up!
He still lied to you. Who knows what other surprises await. Looks like one of Bennett's finest: http://bennettauctionservice.com/
Lied big time. At this point, however, all of the secrets this car has to offer (and there were quite a few) have been laid bare.
Well, it was starting to feel like I was never going to get this project going again (it has been three years with virtually nothing to report) and then this weekend happened!
Time for a few updates: Wet sanding finished, and primer done. It was over 80 degrees out when we started to spray, and after we let it sit in the sun baking for an hour, it was nearly 120°! Next, more wet sanding to prep for paint.
Paint! Finally, paint! My first time spraying, so it isn't prefect, really not bad for a first time. Back to the original Trafalgar Aqua Poly with Wimbledon White Poly roof.
