Like it and hats off to it's caretakers for the past 55 years but $45,000 is a lot of loot to pay for cranking your windows.

I was a bidder on this one at Mecum Kissimmee 2022. It sold for $33,000 including the buyer’s premium.
A very nice car , one small rust spot and some checking on the woodgrain was all I could find.

GPG - you got a Matador like on your Avatar?
I'm primarily a Lincoln-Merc guys, but oh boy, one of my buddies growing up had like 5 Matty's when we were teenagers, and they were pretty rugged, to say the least!

Yes, that’s my Matador. Very clean, rust free honest car. Grasshopper green with a green interior in excellent shape.
The guy that bought it new in California kept it for 40 years!
You are right. It is a great running dependable car. I’m a GM guy but I think I’m priced out of that wagon market.

    .

Back in the day Police departments preferred the AMC Matador ... because it out handled and outperformed all the other cars ... plus nothing else could beat the 401 engine

I remember seeing them on television as cop cars out in California…but here in New Jersey all we had was the big three…Ford Chevrolet and dodge
