Recognize the SS wheel covers. This has been here before. Pretty car.

Good example of how to sell a car online. Wonder how much of that selling price can be credited to the 396 ? Seems like the Chevelle guys almost worship those engines.

Seems like a pretty good deal for a very nice car.

Nope. Chevy began offering a Caprice Custom station wagon with 'wood' for the '66 model year. Remember - The Caprice didn't come out until mid-way through the 1965 model year, and then, only on the 4-door hardtop body style. For '66, the line was expanded to include the wood-paneled wagon, and a 2-door hardtop, with a unique roof line.

My folks bought a new yellow Caprice Custom wagon in '66...

The Chevelle line didn't get a wood-paneled wagon until the '67 model year. Called it the 'Concours'....

I remember in December of ‘65 my folks traded in our ‘63 Artesian Turquoise Impala 4 door on a ‘66 Artesian Turquoise Impala Wagon. I remember almost throwing a hissy fit in the showroom cause there was a Sandalwood ‘66 Caprice wagon there, like the one pictured. I wanted that car so bad. I should have known then I was a wagon lover.
