"A lot to offer"........yup, and you'll have "to offer a lot" to get it.

Looks beautiful, but I don't particularly like the way the builder eliminated the lower side spear trim. Factory Country Sedans looked like this:

Nice, but way over-priced in my opinion. And I think I'm starting to develop a fetish for original steering wheels. :naughty:

KK and Jim, I couldn't agree more with both of you. '63 Country Sedans are near and dear to me as my Dad bought a brand new one in '63 in Champagne Gold with red vinyl interior. It had a 289 with a 2 spd automatic and became a hand me down to both my older brothers. By the time I was able to drive, "legally", it was gone, but we had it for about 6 or7 years.

I don't really mind that the lower half of the molding is left off, because it shows off the gorgeously clean sheet metal. But there is absolutely no finesse in how the molding alteration has been made...the original "C" shaped molding should have been modified to create a proper looking end to the upper spear, or just omit the molding altogether.

I may be old, or at least old fashioned, but I prefer the original trim on it. After all, that is what told the world it was a Country Sedan not a lower priced Ranch Wagon. Beautiful colour, but I'd have to lose those wheels and redo the entire suspension to get it back off the ground. I will not have another car that is prone to giving light shows on the highway. Been there, done that, inadvertently. The Ontario Provincial Police tend to frown on cars that hit pavement on the highway. Wonder why?
