Nice wagon I wouldn't mind owning.... I've been following a You Tube channel, Matt's Off-Road Recovery, located in the town of Hurricane, Utah. He's a big Jeep guy, but right now he's building a 'slightly modified' Chevy Corvair wagon to use as an off-road recovery vehicle. It's now 4WD, with a 5.3L Chevy LS in the front. He just got the engine in the car and running the other day.... Click on the most recent video.... https://www.youtube.com/c/MattsOffRoadRecovery/featured
Nice little wagon. Appreciate that the restorer installed tires with some sidewall on them. Not a fan of low profile rubber band looking tires on older cars. Come to think of it I don't care for them much on new vehicles either.
One nice touch on this one was the installation of an instrument bezel assembly from a Corvair Spyder, with tachometer and everything. The standard bezel would just have a horizontal speedometer and some warning lights. The Spyder bezel looks a lot cooler, too.....
Saw this on Facebook last night. A guy saw this corvair on a trailer in Detroit. I said it looked familiar.
