1958 Chevy Yeoman

Another one from our good friends at Lucky Motors. I'm not overly impressed with the interior given the price. Wonder what they paid for this last week.

Pretty high price, but then again nice ones seem to be going for that much.

These all make me realize I can't afford my own cars!
But try to sell one.

 

We know where the engine came from. But, what donated this steering wheel?

 

Steering wheel looks 59 and 60 Impala....

58 Impala would have the horn ring all around....



The Yoman I believe would have this steering wheel from the factory, witch shared its use on the low end models up until 1960 I believe......



59 and 60 only 1/2 the horn ring and a bit different center treatment, I had the below steering wheel put on my old truck.....

So that steering wheel shared more years than I thought, or did you do a swap also, Cat?

 

I can not tell a lie. It is a 1959 Impala wheel but it's been in several of my 55 Chevys longer than a 59 Chevy.
Those bucket seats are also 80's T-Bird, the arm rests from a 80's Camaro.

Yah, CAT............and my 56 Chevy has a 700R4 transmission.............

 

That was a rare 1956 option. My 55 wagon has the 2004R which I like better.

 

OK, you've got the rare (for 55) 59 Impala steering wheel.........my 56 has the rare Ididit tilt column..............

 

I almost didit to. But rebuilt the stock column and like it. If I ever...... ever switch to power steering I may swap columns.
