Gotta love a top 10 list that only has 9 items on it.

Ben Stewart of Popular Mechanics is obviously not a car guy, but apparently, he's not a numbers guy, either. :slap:

I kind of like the styling of that 78 Mustang. Now that DEQ regulations no longer apply to cars of that age, it could be built into a very cool project.

I am glad that one of my favorite cars of the era did not get mentioned.
Pontiac made one last stand in 1977. They could not call it a GTO, so they called it Can Am.

Yeah, pretty much not things I would consider muscle.

Ironically enough, I saw a Delorean just a few doors up fro my place today.

Here you go. This is my friend Rich's Can Am. Rich is the guy that bought my 96 Roady wagon, and I bought my '88 Cutlass T-top from him.

I know someone who was nearly killed when her Citations brakes locked up.

From that moment on we called thoes the sucide-tation. It was disgraceful Chevy build thoes , worst car ever since the Chevette.

Hey now I learned to drive in a Citation. It was fine as long as the roads were dry.

I managed to do a complete 360 on a wet road in New Jersey in my first baby-doo-doo brown Citation when I was 17. Was going downhill and a dog ran in front of the car. I hit the brakes and the rear swapped places with the front and then spun back around to the rear again, and I kept driving. Made me feel like Evil Knevil. :yahoo:

The brakes were redesigned after 1982. My silver '83 X-11 braked just fine, but my white '81 X-11, in the above pics, will to this day lock the right rear wheel on a wet road if you press too hard.

    Exciting!

Gotta love Pontiac, they kept going the best they could through the 70s.

The hood is so big on the can am the T/A scoop looks small, if they made it half as big again it would look less added on.

I don't know about the Chevette. I hung out with a guy who owned a Pontiac T-1000 (rebadged Chevette) and it survived him. It must have been unbelievably strong to survive that. :D

    :rofl2:

We have owned a few cars during our time together and I can honestly say the Citation we owned was the absolute worst of the bunch. When we put it up for sale a young family came to look at it, while her hubby was talking to my hubby, I'm telling her everything that was wrong with it and don't let your hubby buy that thing...they bought it anyway...:slap:
