I bought a bumper that I was told was for my '67 Tempest Wagon quite a while ago. Well, I didn't look at it and stuffed it in my garage. It was wrapped, so I didn't see it till just the other day. It was immediately obvious it wasn't a '67 Tempest wagon bumper..

I'm sure it's not a '67 Tempest wagon or '67 tempest/gto bumper. It's close to a '66 Bonneville, but I think the Bonnie has round back up lights...

Anybody else recognize it? The seller is being cool about it and we're going to work something out, but it's tough to sell when you don't know what it is...

Great challenge, but I don't even have a guess. It's in beautiful shape, whatever kind it is.

This was a tough quiz. It really looks like it should be a GM bumper. It just looked to me like it belonged on a late 60's or early 70's Buick or Oldsmobile of some sort. But in the end, I think I've come up with the right answer, and it comes as a surprize to me. I'm pretty certain its the rear bumper from a 67-68 Dodge Polara/Monaco wagon.

After some research on a brochure site,,, kinda hard to see some of the rear shots,, but I found a 67 Pontiac (full size wagon) looks correct ,so thats my 2nd guess.. do I win a prize!:disagree: OH! then I'll continue looking!

I thought about the 67-68 full size Pontiac wagon rear bumper as well, but didn't think the area around the license plate looked right. A side photo showing the ends of the bumper would be helpfull as well.

Can't find a good picture of a Polara wagon yet... But i'll get a side photo of the bumper.

And you know what, whoever does get it WILL get a prize... I'm just not sure what yet.

This is a tough challenge. It looks so familiar, but when I go actually look for what I think it is, I see it is totally different.

The flat face doesn't look like anything I can find.

I can't wait until someone figures this out.

    David :)

(I have way too much time on my hands, apparently ;))

Heres a link to someone's restoration photos of a 67 Catalina wagon. I didn't look to see if there were any better pictures of the rear bumper, but it doesn't look right to me.

I considered a 67-69 AMC wagon rear bumper as a possibility.

Heres the rear bumper from a 65-66 Pontiac wagon. Sedans also had the round back up lights.
