    Hello fellow wagon enthusiasts~

I am a graduate student in documentary filmmaking, and have been working on a DOCUMENTARY ABOUT STATION WAGONS for almost a year. It's high time I finally got on station wagon forums to spread the word about this project.. please feel free to ask questions here or check out our website - http://www.wagonmastersthemovie.com - you can also check out some of the videos we've already posted about wagon owners on our vimeo channel: http://vimeo.com/channels/wagonmasters

    WE NEED YOUR HELP!

This movie is going to be a cultural history of the wagon, and my co-director and I want to use a lot of FAMILY PHOTOS w/ wagons in the background to show how everybody had one, and everybody's got memories of them. If you have some photos from vacations or road trips or just standing out in your driveway, please let me know because we would LOVE TO INCLUDE YOU IN OUR MOVIE! Thanks!

I've been waiting to see y'all pop up here. My brother and I have been visiting your website. I know I've got a couple photos of my family with our old family wagon around someplace. I'll see if I can dig them up.

My oldest daughter, almost 10 now, went to her first car show at 4 days old in our 68 Belair wagon. We now have a 65 wagon. Will send pics later. I 'm posting so that I get subscribed and reminded to check back in and do so. Cool project and welcome.

this years road trips included the hrpt from cocoa beach to detroit. on the way home we rescued a friend who's old car broke down in kentucky. then in august we cruised up the dixie higway, checked out 3 different historic sites related to the civil war so my daughter could get some junior ranger badges , went to six flags over atlanta, and the varsity diner. From there we countinued up the dixie highway stopping at some of the local historical places and eventually winding up in chattonooga tn and up to rock city. after that it was over to helen ga for some river tubing and the mountain moonshine show in Hiawassee. the wagon was the only car on the cruise to go to the top of Brasstown bald mountain for some incredible views. then back home to sunny south fla

Thanks for all the great responses! I'll try to follow up with everybody individually who has pictures... to answer the question about how the documentary idea came up, my thesis partner read this article

    http://money.cnn.com/2011/02/15/autos/death_station_wagon.fortune/index.htm

about Volvo discontinuing their wagon in 2011. Didn't take us very long to realize that nothing after the '96 Roadmaster counts as a "real" station wagon with most people, but it does provide a timeliness factor for the movie... We're in the editing phase now, and even though it will be 90% done by May, it'll probably require the summer to do the final color correction, sound mix etc. Everyone on here will certainly know when it's done!

These are some I've got.. Always thought the first one would have been great in b/w with blue/red glasses like they were at a 3-D drive in..

Hopefully they will pick up on my enthusiasm for wagons!
