$1000 ? To me this one looks like its got alot of potential. Body looks pretty good, and maybe the picture isn't very good, but it looks like it might still have the rare wood grain trim on the side. That sure does look like a second look. Has some options, power windows at least but I don't see air on the dash. That stearing wheel is a hard to come b item now adays (I have one from a 69 Cougar), I dout it has the rim blow option as it's all wraped up, (imagine horn blowing 24/7), none the less it's a rare stearing wheel for a wagon.
I have a 69 cougar w/ a rim blow horn. Looks correct to me. Usually the switches die, and then no horn so being covered probably isnt a problem. Plus you have to squeeze it kinda hard to get it to go. Could be no problem w/ the wrap. I am curious to see what the wrap is hiding.
With this stearing wheel, we just don't know (yet, or maybe never) It could be a rim blow and maybe not. The wheel I have is not a rim blow, the horn works by pushing any of the 3 arms in the center of the wheel. The 2 stearing wheels are so identical you almost have to be in the car to tell them apart.
No, it was'nt untill 1970 when hidden head lites were on Montegos. The bace models how ever did not have hidden lites. Bace model 70.... 70 Montego MX Brougham....
