It's been for sale several times. Maybe somebody up north might like it, but it does not make a lot of sense around here. But wagons don't make sense to alot of people.:banghead3: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/1745576782.html
I've seen it. It's not too far from me maybe 8 miles. I wish someone would buy it and put it outta it's misery.:banghead3:
There are probably some here on the forum that like that sort of thing and will flame me. But....I do not have the words to convey how much I hate it when I see an old car treated this way. To me....it is a stupid waste of a good car. I can see no redeeming qualities in a car such as this.
SF, I agree with what you're saying with one caveat. I'd rather have this beast up and running in it's current abhorrent state, than have it sitting in a junkyard resting on its brake drums rusting away.
I agree Fox. As for being flamed, it's only mid sixties here today and a bit breezy, so a mild flaming job my way would be considered just fine.
Those wheels are a bit too big for my taste, but it would still make a fun toy to romp around the West Texas desert in. 4X4 wagons can be cool when done right. Best of both worlds. Wild, crazy off-roading and .... well, its a wagon, too.
A little overkill on the tires, but at least they didn't hack into the body. I had looked at a mid-80's Caprice wagon on a 4x4 frame and I kinda liked it. It had 31's on it and only sat about 6" above normal. Kinda like a Suburban only shorter. This wagon sits too high and wouldn't make a good DD. Love the bug catcher scoop, though!! Personally, I would have left it as it was, but personal taste is what hot rodding is all about.
