Super rare - 1961 chevy corvair lakewood wagon

That's certainly a nice one.

The bad....only the front fenders and hood interchange with other Corvairs. All other body panels and all the glass is different.

I think it's well worth the asking price in that condition. It looks like you could eat off the engine.

It also looks real good next to a dolled-up red one that's been advertised for sale at upwards of $25,000........(can't find that listing right now.)

 

One thing about Corvair owners is that they never, never have just one. Anybody I've ever known that drove a Corvair always had at least two, if not three of them; and I'm not saying just nowadays when you'd want a parts car. I had a college roommate back in the 70's who loved his Corvair and he had two more at home.
They certainly were a unique car.

 

Rare! There are still quite a few Greenbriars around here. In the summer they have orphan car shows, lots of Corvairs, and Edsels etc. But a Covair Lakewood stationwagon, never seen one.

Well count me as being a 'one-only' Corvair owner. Back in 1970, a '66 turbo-charged Corsa was my 3rd car........
