I wish I had the money..... It'd be in my driveway by tomorrow evening. That's the exact color/wood combination that my Fairmont wagon was.

I kinda like the window tint but if it ended up in my drive way i'd be under it asap hacking off the bad taste tail pipes.

 

I really like this car. I can't tell what engine is in there though? Does that hood and grill fit right? The fit looks a little strange to me.

 

Dual Exhaust wasn't available on the F/Z wagons. That would go, like Tedy said. You couldn't drive with the hatch window open. It's at least a 302, but he did a lick and a promise job detailing under the hood. Looks pretty straight though. A bit optimistic on the price. TBird's Cougar is worth it, though.

 

I like it alot. Dual exhaust would stay, but I would have it dumped out behind each rear tire, like the stock exhaust is, only duals. Those tips would be fine on something else, but not a car with whites and wires. Those would also have to go if I owned it. I would go with some 10 hole Mustang LX or Mustang GT aluminums and 235/50s all the way around. Stereo would have to go as well, I cant live without being able to listen to my CDs and have a good sounding system. The radio stations around here suck! Too much goat raping Country or Talk Radio garbage.

 

Looks like someone took a can of black spray paint to the engine bay! Fail.

 

I didn't notice the exhaust tips. It looks like twin Hoovers (vacuum cleaners) under that bumper.

Nobody answered me....Normy?.....that hood doesn't seem to fit right with that grill. Almost looks like a different grill or hood or something??? Are they supposed to fit like that? I wouldn't think so but I could sure be wrong.

 

Those vent windows went away after '78.
This could just be a "rebadged" Fairmont with a Zephyr grill.

 

Fairmont Squire has different woodgrain trim and moldings.

The grill looks stock, but I see what you're talking about, Mike. I suspect that someone may have backed into the grill and pushed it in a bit. The front end has a slight 'V' in it (evidence the hood line) and the grill seems a bit flat. Plastic grill, I believe. Probably has a crack in it.

 

Like Krash said, it got smucked in the grille, cracked and pushed in. The woodgrain is too reddish, but the trim is right for 1981. The 1978 to 1980 woodies had the beige woodgrain finish.

Sharp eye Andy. I never noticed that, but I think you're right. The Dash is not a Mercury Instrument panel, not even the 1981 Futura had that dash either and neither are the door panels. And the Villagers had a drop-down console at the radio, down to the floor, unless this was a really plain jane Villager. He went to a lot of trouble to fix it up.

 

That grill is plastic, and would break before bending. However it is misaligned on the left, so perhaps this car has been rebuilt. I should have said rebuilt rather than rebadged.
Those vent windows make me suspicious of the year. I've never seen vent windows on anything newer than '78.
