1948 Packard Eight Station Sedan for sale on BaT Auctions - ending August 14 (Lot #116,911) | Bring a Trailer The year was 1948. Your factories near Boston had successfully returned to the normal operation after WW 2 weapons production. Your wife suggested you need a new car to take the family from Boston to your lake house in Maine for the weekends. This was your luxury option.
No that would be Olive Gloss, not Olive Drab Paint. It does kinda remind me of the actual left over Military paint that went on SAAB cars of the late 1940's. I still like this car, and the odd Kaiser Vagabonds of the era. Notice how the drivers side back door doesn't open? But it still has a door handle!
After reading the comments on the auction for this Packard, I will never be able to not see the one commenters opinion that the wood on the doors looks like they just slapped a couple of pallets on each side. Dammit!
