They are odd but very interesting cars, I like the fact that this one has dog dish euro style hubcaps on the passenger side, and full wheel disks American style on the drivers side.
If it wasn't blue I think I could almost get the wife to approve it! But she probably remembers me promising to never buy a French car, with the disclaimer that an Alpine was always a possibility if the stars aligned correctly.

    Maybe......
But this seems to be in lots better shape than other's we've seen, plus it's a fairly newer version. (Don't know how long they continued making these....) So I would have to say spending more up front on the purchase is likely going to save the buyer quite a bit down the road on repairs that aren't needed.....

1955-1975 for this particular model with loads of facelifts and improvements along the way.

Neat cars and this is a nice example, but $47k is a price you'd expect to own it for a LONG time.

Wow the 1990 model sold for $22K the updated version is apparently only worth about 1/2 of the older models. I would probably prefer driving the 1990, but prefer the looks of the 1972 model. The later car looks like the French designers where trying to more normalize the styling.
But if I were to own a French car (other than a 1960's-70"s Alpine) why not go for the all out French weirdness? The later car has all the features I think are interesting on these models, Hydropneumatic Suspension, single spoke steering wheel ect... But in a much more subdued and to me less interesting variation.

Wow just read thru the comments on the 1990 model, apparently not a factory wagon, but an aftermarket Swiss conversion for use as a Flower transporter for a Funeral home. That somehow makes it more interesting to me, and explains the no rear jump seats on it.
And the wood trim on the rear doors, but not on the front doors is just weird.
