    Raise this old Escort up a few inches and you have a small FWD SUV, which are now common. This one has quite a stereo for a low end car.

    And also cheap in maintenance, being that one could still repair these themselves.
    To keep it inexpensive, though, immediate attention must be given to a brakefluid flush, battery terminal care and replacing that hare-brained wire crimp con-nector with a reliable soldered connection:
