Always thought the point of a woody was originality. No surprise this one did not command a high price.

I really don't care for many of the mods, and if I were going to modify it to the extent it is, it would also be left hand drive. I also hate the rear end treatment, and the tail lights :cold:

But at least it has a Ford V8 in it.

I don't either but there is a HUGE group of folks who love it. With these kinds of cars from this era, the crowd that cared about originality is mostly gone.

Having a Ford v8 still is huge compared to the SBC\LSx world of swaps every one of these pre-1960s cars seems to get. While I'm glad they keep it on the road, I suspect the tail lights were to do with getting it street legal over across the pond when it was hot-rodded. Australia isn't that strict anymore about classic cars like they were 15-20 years ago, you had to have functional reverse lights and different colored turn signals in many countries, even if the car never came with them. You don't even have to convert a LHD to RHD anymore for the old stuff.

I love the grill. Yeah for that kind of money I could have bought the ‘76 Olds Jaunty was looking at and have room for new whites and gas to get it home.
