Too bad about the flaked paint on the rockers. Other than that, that's a beautiful example in a really attractive colour combo too. I just wish more people would clean the car's pedals before the sale. That, and just some of the minor flecks of debris on the interior that should have been vacuumed up. Regardless, that's a really nice Caprice Estate. I think it'll easily hit $20k+. If it weren't for the chipped paint on the rockers I honestly think this would have the potential to go deep into the $30k range. It'll be interesting to see where this one lands.
Bypassed heater core on a 6k mile car... hopefully they don't screw it up too much when they change it.
20 plus. Huh 5 days to go and we’re already at $20. This car could end its run on BAT with a 3 on the front end of the auction. It’s going despite the paint issues.
Man that is nice. As far as the black paint on the rocker panels chipping, it is a common issue because my 87 sedan has the same problem. It has to do with the zinc coating on the rocker panels repelling the paint. I had an 87 wagon years ago that I inherited from my father when he passed away in the late 90s that was this same beautiful blue color. Ours just didn’t have the woodgrain as it was a base model caprice wagon. I enjoyed that car a lot until it got extremely tired and I took it off the road But did not have storage space for it so after it rotted in the yard for several years, unfortunately I had to let her go to the boneyard.
