I like it! And it's in Kenosha too!

 

I like it other than the wheels, but that's easy to change.

 

Beautiful wagon. See a bit of Ford in the back, Mercury Cyclone in the front, and maybe Pontiac along the sides. I do not remember that paint color but in my opinion it is very attractive and could even work on a modern car. Don't get those wheels though. Be nice if they still have the original wheel covers.

 

My sister owned a 6 cylinder version of that car in the early 1980's, it was a Maroon color, I never could get used to that Coffin nose of the later years.

This one looks much better than hers did back then. I will say it was dead reliable, my sisters idea of preventative maintenance is when the car prevents you from getting some place, its time for maintenance! If seldom failed her, and it probably had over 150,000 miles on it when she hit the 3rd deer with it, that finally did enough damage to scrap it.

I was impressed by its durability, and the interior was its next best feature IMO. But I sure thought it was UGLY!

 

I think the "coffin" nose was inspired by Gordon Buehrig's '36/'37 Cord. That design would continue to influence auto styling into the '80s. Matter of taste.

 

Suffice it to say, without the coffin nose sticking out she probably wouldn't have hit any deer.

 

So you're saying, without the protuberance, those deer would have totally missed getting hit? Oh deer! (Channeling my inner Poison Ivy) (BTW, where the heck has she been lately?)
