BMW didn't officially import this particular body style to the U.S., and if you want this one in the U.S., you'll have to import it from Germany. Pretty spendy, and I do know there are a few of these here that were privately imported. You guys in Canada - did your Canadian BMW dealers get these?

As a Canadian, wagon, and BMW fan back then I can say that I do not at all remember these. Back then it was all about the ‘quarter to eight’. It has struck me traveling Europe lately that there are a lot of BMW wagons over there. No SUV’s. Lots of wagons. Or is that ‘estate car’?

This one is a rare 4 X 4 with an automatic transmission. Still, it's in a car lot and he'll never get rid of it, at that price, anywhere in Europe. He more than likely bought it for cheap and is trying to make big money on it. There are no plates on it, meaning that it'll have to pass inspection, to even be eligible for export plates. The only other alternative would be to haul it from Berlin to the nearest port for transatlantic shipment. Which isn't cheap, unless you bring your own trailer and happen to reside not that far from Berlin. The nearest German commercial port would be Hamburg. To ship it from Stettin Poland would be much closer. But, you'd have to watch your back doing business there, unless you have a good friend who knows the language and beurocracy.
What's interesting would be that Citroen van:
