These are longer and the rear foot rest are a clue to the longer wheel base , only these cars and the limos had the foot rest. Also you can see the longer space between the front and rear doors , regular caddy the doors meet each other.

That thing is awesome, what's not to like about a fully loaded wagon. Missing some engine pics though. Price might be a tad high - he could take a grand or 2 off but it will get sold (probably to Europe).

That is one cool wagon. The dash shows auto dimming headlights. I believe that option automatically turns off the high beams when a car is approaching at night. Definitely a Cadillac only option back then. Lots of interesting info over at the Cadillac wagon website. I like the Eldo based conversion also.

That was an option on most GM cars , my 62 Buick has auto dim and twilight sentential ( lights turn on automatically at dusk.)

Buicks seem to be the "Other" Cadillac. They even got the turbo 400 before the caddys.

Interesting Dan. Maybe you’ll have to bring your 62 to Pomona for an upcoming swap meet. I believe you were looking at my 74 Buick Amblewagon there a couple summers ago. I still have it but no auto-dim!

62 Electra 225 , Deuce and a quarter .:tiphat: I still like your wagon ,plan to keep it or put it up again for sale? The 62 is pretty unique 1of 2 made by Flxible Corp for GM as cost study to see if Buick would get back in the limo business. I ,ll be there March 4th have a 73 hearse to sell.:yikes:

Nice limo Dan. Where did you find such a rare car in that shape or did you do the restoration?

This has been floating around So Cal since the early 80,s. It needs some tlc but has never been restored . Came up for sale a few years ago and was I able to get it. After they where built they went to Buicks district headquarters in Chicago and New York ,this is the Chicago car and the other one is still in the New York area.

So Dan - on the limo - the Buick Motor Division themselves had the car built? And who - Ionia?
