Almost never see Subarus older that 1995 around here. This one looks to be a survivor. Said to be 56k km., but the Subarus I see for sale in Ontario usually have 200 - 300k km. on them. Interior looks to be consistent with low mileage. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/gatineau/subaru-1985/1316737904?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
Lots of Subies in the PNW, mostly newer ones, but it's not all that surprising to see an old one like this come up for sale once in a while. Here's the olddest Subaru currently for sale on our local Craig's List - an '82 B.R.A.T. https://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/d/1982-subaru-brat/6417692026.html
The Subaru Brat was definitely a quirky car. Never see those from the '80s in Ontario anymore. Even the Baja is a rarity. Here's an '03 with 400k km. on it. I don't know what it is about Subarus, but people just seem to drive the crap out of them here. http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Subaru/Baja/HAMILTON/Ontario/19_10457694_/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=1_15_1
You rarely see much of anything 80’s in Ontario.... SALT! And we’re not talking the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks......
